Scared Shitless!!!!!

My heroic, mouse killing, love or my life, Daisylou!
First let me say I want to move or burn down my house and start from scratch! There are two things in this world that make me turn from a once sensible person to a screaming lunatic shaking with emense fear!!! Those things are centipedes and freaking mice! Well I encountered the second (a mouse) in my house tonight!  Like the good mommy I (try to be) am I was in the middle of making butternut squash for my little man! The timer buzzed and I went to put on my handy dandy (never to be used again) oven mit only to feel something warm against my hand! As I throw down the mit and let out a blood curldling scream, Daisy (my new hero) runs in and charges the mit! I see a grey thing run underneath the cabinet and I run, jump on the couch and continue screaming, but am joined with the screams of my once sleeping child!  I peek around the corner and see Daisy as proud as can be standing over the mouse she just killed for her mommy!  Seeing this makes me scream again and I frantically call my husband who of course isn't home while this is going down!  I scream into the phone what is happening and the asshole starts laughing! I yell this is no time to laugh jackass and begin crying as I relive the horrific events!  I decide to call the neighbor Mike to discard of the beast in my kitchen and when he walks in and sees my mascara smeared face he begins to laugh! Ugh, men!!!!  Still shaking I beg him to get my squash out of the oven, but am ready to scream as he opens the drawer where the creature took over my mit!  Long story short, my husband has his work cut out for him tomorrow disinfecting, rearranging, doing whatever he has to do to get those THINGS out of my house! They say to conquer fear you must look it in the eye, they lied! I am more scared than ever of those damn furry things!

Family Rivalry

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge sports fan!  I love football, basketball, and especially NASCAR! My husband on the other hand only really likes football, though is getting more into NASCAR every year!  It is very important to me that Tanner likes sports and hopefully plays some in the future!  So it is football season and of course I would marry a man who's team is my teams biggest rival! That's right he is a Packers fan and I LOVE the Bears!  When we found out we were having a baby we immediately started talking trash about which team our little bundle of joy would go for!  For Father's day I got Morgan a Packers onesie and hat for our little guy and a few weeks later I found a cute Bears jersey too!  For the first meeting of our teams Tan wore the Bears jersey and a Packers hat (to be fair of course) but than the rivalry got serious!  Long story short Packers beat my Bears in the NFC Championship and are heading to the Superbowl :(  Tanner will be sporting the Packer green and yellow at least one more time this year and if they do win the Superbowl I will be hearing the trash talking until next season!
Still not convinced he likes the Packers!
I still love the little booger!
All smiles before game :(

Battle of the Bottle

Well it's offical, Tanner is a pain in the butt!  Tanner has been a very picky eater from the time he was born.  In the NICU the nurses practically had to force feed the kid (actually they did, he got a feeding tube).  When he got home he decided he loved mama's milk, but only from a bottle.  So for five and a half months I pumped for the booger and fed him out of the bottle.  Now all of a sudden the kid "learned" how to breastfeed and has decided he likes his milk fresh of the tap.  I'm excited cause I  hate having to plug myself into a pump every four hours, but now the booger won't drink from a bottle and frankly I am exhausted! It was nice having grandma or my hubby feed him once in a while!I have a feeling just when we get completely comfortable with bfeeding, he will again switch back to only wanting a bottle!  At least I know he is getting enought to eat, the proof is in his thunder thighs, triple chin, cankles, and wrist flaps!  I love my little fatty pants!!!

Starting a blog

Well I finally decided to start this blog.  I have been trying to start this since Tanner was born, but with a very needy baby, stuff just doesn't get done!  I'll give you a quick overview of our life the last few months to get everyone caught up!  Last July we welcomed Tanner Sterling into our family!  After a complicated pregnancy and his early arrival, we finally have our miracle baby!  His early birth and time in the NICU made me truly appreciate my son and the miracle God blessed me with!  Tanner is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us!  I am so happy to be a mom, although it was definitely an adjustment!  After having Tanner, I decided not to return back to work, which was a very hard decision.  I am so thankful that my husband works so hard so that I can stay home and be with our son!  Now Morgan and I are just loving life and learning how to be parents as we go (our poor son)!  I hope everyone enjoys reading about our crazy lives and seeing Tanner grow!

This is one of our first family pictures taken in October!
